Visuals to help kids learn and use healthy coping skills!

When the kids in your life struggle with BIG emotions, you want to help them. The Coping Cue Cards can teach them new coping skills and remind them of all the actions they can take to feel better. No lectures, just beautiful, kid-friendly visuals to empower them.

The Coping Cue Cards Movement Deck© is a deck of cards designed to help kids learn healthy coping skills. It has 44 coping skills cards with simple movement strategies to help them regulate their emotions.

The deck includes small body movements, like flexing and pointing feet, or rolling your shoulders, big body movements like skipping or riding a scooter. There are some strategies that work outside, some that work inside, and some that work in both locations.

We know that not all coping skills work in all places. To make it easier, we’ve included cheerful divider cards to help you sort skills by different settings like when traveling, at school, at social events, and in stores & restaurants.

Ways to use the Movement Deck:

    • to help kids identify which coping skills they already use and love
    • as a visual reminder to use a coping skill
    • as a way to find new coping skills to expand their toolbox
    • character cards can help open up a conversation about different ways to cope
    • and encourage kids to think of their own ideas
    • and many more
